Charleston is known as the 'Silicon Harbor' because of its thriving tech scene. Blackbaud is the technology company that started it all. I lead a team of designers, developers and strategists to help nonprofit organizations make the world a better place.
I was lucky enough to be a part of Charleston's top boutique agency with probably the coolest office in the entire state. I helped brands with their digital branding and marketing strategies with a methodology that keeps the user at the heart.
After completing my BSc in Computer Science with Business Management, I moved beyond programming to incorporate my passion for visual arts. I believe creating for the web is the perfect outlet for both sides of my brain.
I've spoken at events such as BBCON, DigSouth, The Good Business Summit, and Refresh CHS. I love to talk about interactive storytelling, emotional design and UX, and how these things can bring a brand to life.
Whether it's my Canon 5D MkII or my iPhone, I always have a camera with me. My role as a photographer is to be ready when magical moments happen naturally. My #1 top model is my daughter, Olivia.
I wasn't a "rockstar" in the same way that some people are "ninjas", "monkeys" or "gurus", but when I was still in school, I was lucky enough to get a taste of some degree of success in the music industry. We had a record deal, went on national tours, had great press and some loyal fans. Those days are a distant memory. Nowadays I'm happiest making electronic music in my home studio.
